Sway 0  Hamworthy Recreation Res. 3
After last week’s shocking defeat the lads were really up for this game. The pitch was flat, big and wide and suited us down to the ground and we played brilliant football from the start and were unlucky not to take the lead when Jamie D saw his lobbed effort just go over the bar. The back 3 were solid as always and Tom was on his toes in goal making a couple of excellent saves. It was by far the best we've played all season; however, our final ball was letting us down and we just couldn't make the break through.
Half time was livened up with one of the best bit of tree climbing from Dan Notley I've ever seen!
We carried on the second off as we finished the 1st playing some excellent football and it was only a matter of time before the break through came. A great move was finished really well by Dan (Goals) Manuel to put us 1 up.
The second wasn't far behind, Jamie D was making his 1st start in 3 months but it looked as if he hadn't been away, he did one of the best turns I've ever seen on the edge of the box before he unselfishly squared the ball for Dyksey to score.
We were giving Sway a footballing lesson and made it 3 with 15 mins to go. Jamie D made a great run only to be brought down by the keeper leaving the ref with no choice but to point to the spot. Our Leader and Captain Gary Vincent sent the keeper the wrong way from the spot to make it 3.0 and give us an important 3 points.
With the news that the BFA have crumbled under pressure from me and Gonz and ordered the Dorset Knob game from earlier in the season to be replayed this could be a massive 3 pints for us. Beat the Knob on Saturday and we've got a real chance of being in with a shout of the title.
The Bananaman outfit was this week given to Dyksey for a left foot effort that almost went for a throw!!!
